Marine Corps University Selects Epsilon to Provide IT Services

May 11th 2017

WEAVERVILLE, NC –  The Marine Corps University (MCU) consists of accredited higher education schools at Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA. MCU prepares leaders to meet the challenges of the national security environment. MCU academic facilities span five locations across the US and Japan. MCU had a requirement for professional, management, and technical support services to assist the Command in the mission to provide information technology support to the colleges, schools, and directorates at MCU. On March 28, 2017, Epsilon was awarded a firm fixed price, $8,014,270 value award by the Marine Corps Installations National Capital Region - Regional Contracting Office (MCINCR – RCO) to fulfill this requirement.

Epsilon has supported MCU as a Prime contractor since 2012. As part of this recent award, Epsilon will continue to provide a range of services including help desk support, network and system administration of all IT systems within the data center, cybersecurity services, automated applications support, and audio visual (AV) and video teleconference (VTC) support.

“The predecessor to this effort was our first Prime contract supporting the Government, and this is the second time we have successfully won its recompete,” said Eric Oelschlaeger, President of Epsilon, Inc. “Marine Corps University is a bit of an anomaly as it’s an accredited university that operates like any other civilian educational institution except that is also subject to Department of Defense standards.  As a customer, they exist at the intersection of commercial best practices and the DoD’s attention to process and security that we value and promote across our customer base.  We consider these practices to be foundational to the way we deliver service, so we are honored and humbled to receive such a vote of confidence from MCU.”
