BSides Asheville 4th Cyber Security Conference

July 17th 2017

Epsilon is a proud sponsor of Bsides Asheville Cyber Security Conference coming up at the end of July 2017. Bsides is a community-driven endeavor for building events for and by information security community members. BSides is an open platform that gives security experts and industry professionals the opportunity to share ideas, insights, and develop longstanding relationships with others in the community.

BSides Asheville (BSides AVL) was started in 2014 by several information security professionals living in Western North Carolina. BSides AVL is a volunteer-run computer security conference held annually in Asheville, North Carolina This conference presents a wide range of information security topics from technical topics, such as dissecting network protocols, to policy issues such as managing information leakage via social networks and complex international problems, such as cyber warfare.

“We strive to bring quality information security and cyber security related talks to Asheville each year to help provide awareness to existing and potential risks, new technologies, and the latest research.  It has been exciting to see the growth of BSides Asheville over the past few years, not only in attendance size, but also in the amount of local support from businesses that are also eager to spread awareness to the community," says Daniel McCauley, BSides Asheville Co-Founder.

This year's conference will be held at RISC Networks in downtown Asheville.

Epsilon is excited to participate in this conference and looks forward to collaborating with other cybersecurity thought leaders in our unique region.

"Cybersecurity concerns are increasingly important for individuals and businesses of all sizes," says Matt Fraser, Director of Business Development at Epsilon.  "Grassroots collaboration efforts like BSides help drive solution focused discussion at the local level in this growing and increasingly complex field."
