Epsilon SkillBridge Internship
As a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business, Epsilon is excited to participate in the SkillBridge program. We aim to assist Active-Duty Service Members in their transition from active-duty to a civilian career by offering internship-based training in the following areas; Infrastructure, Network and Systems Support, Security Operations and Information Assurance, Project Management and IT Quality Assurance.
Who is eligible?
Active-Duty United States Military Service Members and select groups of the National Guard and the Reserves who are approved by their command to participate the DOD SkillBridge program within 180-days of their End of Service (EOS) date.
What locations are available?
Epsilons' SkillBridge program enables service members to get real world experience in Epsilon's SkillBridge lab environment, which means, you can participate from anywhere. There may also be opportunities for on-site SkillBridge internships based out of one of Epsilons office locations in Weaverville, NC or Greenville, SC.
What training is available?
Epsilon offers training in the following areas:
IT Project Management
Establish and maintain processes to manage scope over the project lifecycle, setting project quality and performance standards, and assessing and managing risk within, and across, multiple projects.
Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs. Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed—escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans.
IT Quality Assurance
Analyze IT incident reports and service requests to identify trends. Assist with records of user issues, SOP’s and knowledgebases. Monitors dashboards for customer requests and incidents, customer satisfaction, first call resolution, incoming phone calls and email queues. Monitor SLA metrics and assess technical accuracy, customer service performance, and conformity to company policies and procedures. Assist with developing and creating quality processes and procedures. May also report observations as needed to enhance the customer experience.
Infrastructure Support
Deployment and configuration of platform infrastructure. Troubleshoot deployment issues to resolve installation and configuration issues. Reconfigure or decommission existing infrastructure as needed. Maintain and create documentation for new deployments. Streamline deployments to increase efficiency and reduce deployment times. Support the development, testing and integration of new hardware/software into the platform.
Systems Support
Perform evaluations, testing, debugging and implementation of applications and programs supporting the company infrastructure, business processes and operations. Other functions include analyze, install, modify, and support operating systems, databases, and utilities software.
Security Information Assurance
Protect and defend information and information systems by ensuring their availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation. These measures include providing for restoration of information systems by incorporating protection, detection, and reaction capabilities.
Establish and manage program control processes, compliance assessments to determine deviations from acceptable configurations, policy, or standards, and provides expertise in compliance requirements for internal and external reviews of requirements.
Security Operations
Develop, execute, and track the performance of security measures to protect information and network infrastructure and computer systems. Identify, define, and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management. Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware. Install software that monitors systems and networks for security breaches and intrusions. Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures.
Network Support
Provide troubleshooting assistance to resolve network incidents and coordinate with other IT departments to resolve these incidents. Provide full life-cycle support for all network services, including the installation, tuning, testing, monitoring, operation, maintenance, upgrading, patching, break/fix, and management of designated network distribution systems and associated equipment.
Am I qualified?
To qualify for our program we are seeking U.S. Service Members with ideally at least one or more of the below interests, training, education or military experience.
- Either pursuing or holds a degree in Information Technology (IT) or related field
- Holds Technical certification(s) relating to IT.
- Has hands on experience in an IT related role during military service.
- Has completed or is pursuing technical training in IT (not related to a college degree)
- Has been an IT hobbyist, but has not yet had the opportunity to put knowledge/skills into practice in a work environment

- Upon completion of this questionnaire your responses will be reviewed to determine your eligibility to enter the Epsilon SkillBridge program.
Important Notice: As of June 1, 2023 we are at capacity for our internship program. We anticipate being able to accept new interns to start our program in October 2023. We will review applications for October 2023 or later internships begining in August 2023 , so, if your eligibility date is October 2023 or later and you choose to apply now, please know, you will not be contacted before August 2023. What happens after I submit the questionnaire?
- If qualified for one of the skill areas in our program, you will be contacted to schedule a conversation with an Epsilon team member. At the conclusion of the conversation, a decision will be made to extend an Internship Agreement or not, based on both parties' interest in moving forward.
- If you do not meet the qualifications for our program, you will be notified via email.
